The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hatchers Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Parkton. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebrew Cemetery in Parkton.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Butler of the home; sons, John Lewis and Shamar McNeill, both of Fayetteville, and Toboris McNeill of Lumber Bridge; daughters, Carolyn Butler of Lumberton, Evon Williams and Shontel Alexander, both of Fayetteville, and Benescha McNeill of Greensboro; brothers, Willie Butler of Leesville, S.C., John Butler of Raleigh, and Robert Butler of Irvington, N.J.; and sisters, Mary McQueen of Irvington and Eloise Plummer of Fayetteville.
The viewing will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at L.E. Floyd Funeral Home in Red Springs.
