A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Horeb Church Cemetery.
Surviving are his son, Marcus T. Long Jr. of Raleigh; and a sister, Rachel Hardy of Silver Springs, Md.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Long, 601 Doctor Robinson Road in Council.
