LAURINBURG — The Scotland County Highland Games will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 2 at the John Blue House.

The games will feature a fiddling workshop, a pipe band contest for grades 3, 4, and 5, and other activities. A new field layout will also debut.

LUMBERTON — The United Way of Robeson County Extravaganza of Talent show will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at the A.D. Lewis Auditorium at Robeson Community College.

Tickets will be $10 in advance and $12 at the door. The top prize is $500.

LUMBERTON — The sixth annual “Leapin’ Lizards” craft fair will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 15 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 16 at the First Presbyterian Church.

To be a vendor, the cost is $40 and registration closes Sept. 30. Proceeds will benefit the Robeson County Church and Community Center.
