LUMBERTON — An open house for Southeastern Women’s Healthcare, an affiliate of Southeastern Regional Medical Center, is set for Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m.

The public is invited to tour the facility, which is at 725 Oakridge Blvd., Suite C-1.

Dr. Shawnequa Brown and certified nurse midwife Lisa Blake, who provide care at the clinic, will greet visitors during the event. Refreshments will be served and a flat screen television will be given away as a door prize.

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Hospice will host a variety show fundraiser featuring local entertainers on Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church on Walnut Street in Lumberton. Door prizes will be awarded during the show and refreshments will be served. Anyone interested in participating in the event should call Sheryl Taylor at 735-8915 .

Tickets for the event are available at a cost of $10 and can be purchased at the door or in advance from Southeastern Hospice at 2002 N. Cedar Street in Lumberton. Proceeds will benefit Southeastern Hospice, Southeastern Hospice House and Camp Care.

LUMBERTON — Southeastern SELF Recovery, an affiliate of Southeastern Regional Medical Center, will host a cookout on Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. in celebration of September as National Recovery Month.

Anyone who has a reason to celebrate recovery is invited to attend. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served. Live and recorded musical entertainment will be featured along with various keynote speakers. Anyone planning to attend is asked to register no later than Sept. 10 by calling (910) 272-3030.

Southeastern SELF Recovery, located at 661 Burns Road, is a supervised, enhanced living facility which offers intensive outpatient substance abuse services for adult male residents for a minimum of 90 days.
