Gale Chavis Locklear of Pembroke announces the engagement of her daughter Kaci Dawn Locklear to Donnie Oxendine of Maxton, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Foncie Oxendine Jr. of Maxton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Chavis of Pembroke, the late Jesse Waltman and the late Helen Locklear, both of Maxton. She attended Purnell Swett High School and Richmond Community College. She works for Scotland Memorial Hospital.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Foncie Oxendine of Maxton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Laci Collins. He attended Purnell Swett High School, Fayetteville Technical Community College and Richmond Community College. He works for Scotland Memorial Hospital.

The wedding will be held at 5 p.m. on Sept. 11 at Mr. and Mrs. Carnell Locklear’s home in Red Springs.
