Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Leazer of Lumberton announce the engagement of their daughter Tyra Monique Leazer of Morrow, Ohio, to Jeffrey Holman, the son of the late James and Louise Holman of Nashville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lurenda Berry of Pilot Mountain, the late Hiawatha Berry and the late John and Annie Leazer. She attended Lumberton High School, North Carolina Central University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Kansas Medical Center. She works for Proctor and Gamble.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Holman. He attended Franklin County High School, Motlow Community College and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He works for Rodnor Railroad Terminal in Nashville.

The wedding will be held at 4 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.
