James W. Martin Jr., left, and Boyd B. Gasque were recently designated Melvin Jones Fellows by Lions Club International Foundation in recognition of their commitment to serving. The two have been members of the Lumberton Lions Club for a combined 35 years. They were given plaques and pins at a banquet held recently at the Lions Den. Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization with more than 1.35 million members in 208 countries and areas.
