LUMBERTON — Elizabeth Reed Gibson, a past North Carolina State Regent, was the speaker at the January meeting of the Col. Thomas Robeson Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.
She presented a brief history of the society and its insignia, along with the guidelines for obtaining and wearing pins.
LUMBERTON — Catie Roche, the director of the Robeson County Public Library, spoke at the Rotary Club meeting recently at Village Station Restaurant.
She spoke about the business importance that libraries can bring to a community.
